This event gives Trustees the essential knowledge about their statutory and other responsibilities, covering legal and financial duties and strategic behaviour. A vital session is included on preparing for the forthcoming Data Protection changes focussing on GDPR. The content has been updated to include new scenarios including Cyber crime, and the new Charity Governance Code.

Laura Ralph is an audit manager in the Non Profit team of Crowe Clark Whitehill LLP. Laura joined Crowe from university and qualified in 2011. Laura works with a range of schools, academies, specialist colleges and national charities.

Andrew Gallie, Senior Associate, VWV,Solicitors

Andrew advises on all aspects of data protection law and compliance, including international data transfers, data processor agreements, subject access requests, staff monitoring and information security. Clients include charities, universities, independent schools and businesses in the technology and ICT sectors. Andrew frequently carries out audits for charities in addition to providing training and drafting bespoke data protection policies.

Richard Levinge is the Director and founder of Ease Training. Richard has been Chair of a charity and a trustee of a major charitable project. Richard has a passion for practical training based on many years training experience with roles in the Royal Navy, legal services, charities and education.
