We have included Safeguarding on the Agenda – a key theme for the Charity Commission

‘Trustees are responsible for safeguarding even if certain aspects of the work are delegated to staff. Trustees should therefore make public their clear commitment to safeguarding by publishing the charity’s safeguarding policy and stating that failure to follow it will be dealt with as a very serious matter.

This is a key governance priority. Any failure by trustees to manage safeguarding risks adequately would be of serious regulatory concern to the Commission. ‘

Recent testimonials (see website)

Thank you all for a really useful and informative course yesterday. I thought I was reasonably up to date, but it was good to learn new things as well as being refreshed. I liked the format and also all the speakers were very good. I shall encourage more Trustees from other Boards to attend.

Charity Trustee Training  October 2018

I found the training relevant, interesting and most enjoyable. You covered some serious governance issues with the a very good balance of gravitas and humour, so delegates found the content suitably important but not foreboding – which is a hard balance to strike. The Chair will concur that we had some Trustees who aren’t normally huge fans of ‘external intervention’ waxing lyrical about the session, which is no mean feat.
